Dennis Edge, 85, ‘The Birdman’ of Tompkins Square Park, passed away on Sept. 1, 2023. In memory of his work, Art Loisaida Foundation, City Parks & Recreation, and Loisaida, Inc. Center will host an exhibition of Dennis’ most beloved urban wildlife photographs of the birds he frequently documented living inside and around Tompkins Square Park. A Memorial and Park Bench Dedication and Ceremony will also be held that day at Tompkins Square Park.
