Uprooted Exhibition Opening
The Loisaida Inc. Center 710 East 9th Street, New YorkUprooted explores the disconnect immigrants, migrants and the children of immigrants experience in the multitude of spaces and cultures they occupy. We’ve gathered multiple lens-based artists that have developed projects exploring their roots. Through their work, we are able to see the impact immigration has on people from varying backgrounds. We are able to see the different ways in which artists acknowledge and honor their ancestry.
