SUMMARY:American Boricua Photography Exhibition Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Loisaida Center welcomes you to the opening reception of the current photography exhibition\, American Boricua. \nAmerican Boricua celebrates the Puerto Rican Diaspora throughout North America through the lens of photographer\, Wanda Benvenutti. \nWanda Benvenutti is a freelance photojournalist\, cultural worker\, writer\, model and proud Boricua with roots in Salinas\, Puerto Rico. She is currently working on the compilation of her first book\, American Boricua\, the first visual history of the Puerto Rican diaspora in all 50  of the United States. \n  \nJoin us on Tuesday\, December 16th as we celebrate the opening. There will be light refreshments and a discussion on the importance of heritage and cultural preservation with: \nRanald Woodaman- Assistant Director of Exhibition Development at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Latino.
